The Modern House and Inigo are thrilled to be expanding their marketing team with the brand-new role of Community Manager. The position has huge scope for an individual keen to nurture and grow an organic community of over half a million people across two growing brands.
We’re looking for someone who loves all things social media. They will keep up to date on the ever-changing social landscape and aware of any changes coming up that we utilise to increase our reach and help our content travel further.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator; they will be confident creating captions and selecting images from listings and editorial content which engage our community across our platforms.
They will be confident with reporting, looking into the analytics to see how their content has performed and suggesting content and strategy ideas to the wider team based on our community’s activity.
The role requires a hands-on approach covering a variety of responsibilities including social media channel management, creating email newsletters, answering direct messages and responding to comments. The successful candidate will also be able to look at the bigger picture, with a proven track record of building out campaign plans, across owned and earned channels.
The Community Manager will work closely with the wider Editorial, Sales and Appraisals team to make sure our brand vision and values are communicated to our audiences while delivering on company objectives.

Responsibilities will include:
- Daily social media channel management including but not limited to creating a calendar and publishing posts across various accounts; Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok.
- Editing content for optimal engagement from scroll-stopping image crops to informative captions.
- Stay up to date with industry insights around social and community brand building.
- Commissioning content production including briefing photographers and filmmakers.
- Working collaboratively with the internal team prior to publishing content to ensure it aligns with business activity.
- Community engagement; respond to comments, DM’s and interact with key influential partners accounts.
- Monitor and report weekly on community engagement and adapt accordingly.
- Create, schedule and publish daily eye-catching homepage banners and headlines that embody our brand voice, image and business activity
- Partnerships; identify relevant people, brands, businesses and places to be engaging with and create a roll out plan for how we do this authentically.
- Build communication methods to engage with existing and prospective external partners from creating email newsletters to social media groups.
- Research and propose the best channels to reach and serve our audiences.
- Test content formats to gain maximise interaction with our community from moving image, carousels to music.
- Maintain The Modern House and Inigo’s brand voice and messaging consistently to our community.
- Analyse our existing audiences through interests and sentiment and identify ways to engage with our biggest brand advocates.
- Listen and respond on behalf of the brand to both positive and negative audience feedback.
- Constructively report to the internal team on brand perception with a solution-based approach.
- Contribute to discussions around brand vision by offering insights and feedback from our community.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in social media management
- A knowledge and enthusiasm for the ever-changing social media landscape
- A passion for written and visual communication
- Experience in reporting and analytics
- Be a competent, confident decision-maker, able to prioritise tasks
- Ability to think creatively and suggest innovative ideas to deliver results
- A strong communicator, delivering back insights to the wider company
- Experience with embodying a brand voice across various mediums
