At Inigo our mission is to celebrate and sell Britain’s most marvellous historic homes. From grand Victorian villas to humble worker’s cottages, we are excited by spaces with personality, architectural integrity and a dash of eccentricity, irrespective of their period, price or location.

We see viewings as a fantastic opportunity to enthuse people about the authentic details and lived histories that make our homes unique. Sometimes our clients can welcome prospective buyers to their own homes, but whenever this is not possible, our London-based Sales Team rely heavily on freelance viewings hosts to step in and tell each home’s story.

We are currently expanding our pool of freelance hosts in town and country across the United Kingdom. To that end, we are keen to talk to personable and charismatic individuals with a passion for architecture, art history and interior design.

A successful candidate will be:

  • Organised. An ability to keep across an ever-changing schedule which may see you travelling to different locations and multiple properties.
  • Personable. You must be a natural people person and enjoy making conversation in a relaxed yet professional manner.
  • Punctual. Promptness is non-negotiable.
  • Communicative. It’s essential that feedback is given to the sales team about how the viewing went, if there are any follow up questions etc.
  • Flexible. We don’t expect you to be available all the time but a degree of flexibility is really beneficial. Fridays, Saturdays and late afternoon/evenings are our most popular times for viewings.
  • Enthusiastic. A desire to learn the basics about the sales process and the houses you are showing.
  • Committed. Many of our Viewings Hosts have worked with us for years and we are looking to build long-lasting relationships with all of our new Hosts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Hosting viewings on behalf of Inigo at agreed locations and times, as requested and directed by the Sales Team.
  • Being an exemplary ambassador for Inigo, embodying the core company values: honesty, originality, understanding, style and enjoyment.
  • Familiarising yourself with the homes you are showing, working with the Sales Team to ensure you have a basic understanding of the main questions that may come up.
  • Attending previews with the clients and other sales team representatives from Inigo prior to viewings taking place.
  • Providing access to homes for other third parties, e.g. surveyors and contractors.
  • Facilitating video call viewings at properties, as well as filming video tours, if required.
  • Handling keys, as well as alarm systems and any associated security measures installed in the houses you are showing
  • Adhering to Covid-19 guidelines laid out by Inigo.

The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other additional tasks.

We’re looking to work with people who share our passion for architecture, art history and beautiful homes. If that’s you, please send a CV and covering letter to careers@inigo.com

We are particularly interested to hear from people based in London and more broadly – the Kent Coast, Cotswolds.

Inigo is proud to provide equal opportunities to all. Every role is open to all individuals regardless of age, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
